Primary Fit Anchor

This page is for spiritually serious adults in Colorado who want clinically grounded, faith-integrated therapy for burnout, grief, anxiety, inner disconnection, compulsive patterns, faith crisis, or the strain of ministry and caregiving roles.

Strong Fit Contexts

This work is often a strong fit for spiritually serious adults in Colorado navigating:

Spiritual burnout or compassion fatigue — emotional depletion, loss of meaning, or exhaustion from giving more than they have received

Ministry fatigue — pastors, ministry leaders, ministry spouses, or caregiving professionals carrying the pressure of helping others while lacking support themselves

Numbness or disconnection — feeling cut off from God, self, relationships, desire, or what used to matter

Faith crisis or spiritual disorientation — doubt, distance from God, spiritual grief, or confusion about belief and belonging

Grief and unmet longing — losses, desires, or disappointments that have not had enough space to be named

Inner conflict and values misalignment — living in ways that feel out of step with deeply held faith, values, or identity

Compulsive patterns and shame — repeated behaviors that feel at odds with faith identity or the person they want to become

Anxiety or relational strain — emotional patterns that repeat in relationships, work, ministry, or inner life

Prior therapy that felt incomplete — especially when the client wants a therapy space where faith, doubt, spiritual grief, and relationship with God can be included when clinically relevant

This May Not Be the Best Fit If

This may not be the right level of care if:

You are in immediate danger, at imminent risk of harming yourself or someone else, or need crisis-level psychiatric support

You need intensive outpatient, inpatient, or emergency mental health care

You are under 18 — I work with adults only

You are court-mandated to attend therapy

You are seeking therapy once per month from the start — I work on a weekly or biweekly basis

You prefer a strictly secular approach with no integration of faith or spirituality

You are looking for a brief, skills-only program rather than ongoing relational and exploratory work

For emergencies or immediate safety concerns, contact local emergency services, call or text 988, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Therapeutic Approach & Style

My style is attentive, relational, and honest. I work well with clients who want to slow down and understand what is happening underneath their symptoms, patterns, burnout, or disconnection — not just manage how they feel on the surface.

In sessions, we may attend to emotional patterns, relational history, grief, avoidance, desire, shame, trauma, compulsive cycles, and the ways faith has shaped a client’s sense of self, responsibility, and identity.

Soul care counseling here is licensed psychotherapy, not spiritual direction, pastoral counseling, coaching, or discipleship — though Christian faith, spiritual questions, and relationship with God can be included when clinically relevant and desired by the client. When skills are useful, we use them. But the deeper work is usually about understanding what a client’s exhaustion, disconnection, or repeated patterns are revealing.

Depending on the client’s needs, this may include EMDR for trauma processing, EFT for emotional and relational patterns, CBT for shame or compulsive cycles, solution-focused work for values-aligned change, and client-centered therapy as the relational foundation. Faith integration is always collaborative and non-prescriptive; it is included when it supports the client’s goals and is never used to minimize psychological pain.
